SPACE MARINES
These guys where a bit of a challenge for me but I got through them eventually. They have so many details but the final product is one that really glistens on the table and I really love those gloss varnish gems. They bring back memories of reading "how to paint gems" in a high elf book when I was a child.
Valhallan Troops
I've painted a lot of Valhallans in my time, and I find them fascinating. Stark white with a typical army-style addition of army green and sandy brown. The overall color scheme really pops. It's almost comic-style. To top it off I have been using a thick and luscious snow method of bicarb of soda, white paint, PVA, and matt varnish which creates a thick and chunky snow effect.
Valhallan Armor
Painting 28mm armor is so fun. The ability to work on those minute areas of detail that really make the piece pop is the instant reward. I love the bullet holes, stark blacklining and the dusty battle-worn whites on these models.
Ogrynns
These ogrynn conversions are a gem created by my client and I had such a fun time painting them. They scream character and personality (almost literally with those gnarly gaping maws!) Due to their vast size, I got to work on some exciting detailing such as the weathering on their shields which I achieved with a mix of bronze and silver tones and utilised the technique of stippling.
Valhallan command
These Valhallan command models really topped off a great Valhallan order and bought together the force. It was fun to work some more primary colors into the scheme with the flags and buttons on the coats.
Imperial Guard
This imperial guard order was my first ever time using silver spray paint. I enjoyed the final appearance of the armor which maintained its color through the shading and inking process nicely. The purple tones were a perfect color to offset them and bring them alive. The actual kitbash was done by the client and I think that she was extremely creative with the build.
Space Marines
Growing up space marines daunted me due to their many details and the general necessity for a clean finish. This order was one of my first big space marine orders and I was really proud and happy with the finished effect I achieved with a mix of painting methods.

Genestealers
Genestealers perfectly suit layers and dry brushes with their jagged edges and their sharp angles. I really enjoy the final look of this order and I feel that I really captured the "aliens" spookiness that suits genestealers.
Nurgle
My favorite color to paint with is green. I thoroughly enjoyed painting the greens on these Nurgle miniatures, as well as practicing my bronze tones which improved massively over these miniatures as I went along.
Khorne
Khorne is an iconic force, the bold reds and the striking bronzes really pop on the table and catch the eye. I like the blood spatter on these models, I find that it adds a gruesome effect and a slight shock factor. In my mind khorne is intense and terrifying.
Tzeentch
The colors on this Tzeentch model are beautiful and i found it to be a really good practice in blending. Generally, i find purples, pinks, and yellow difficult so this model is a point of pride in those aspects.
