Testing a new brown wash

12/3/2025

Years ago, I made my own washes, and with the potential to return to a "levelled" painting system, I would require a lot of dark brown wash for that. So I knocked up a new bottle during a studio tidy-up. Sadly, I think the paint I used was a bit too grainy for general use, as you can see on the test model below it's a bit dusty, but for old west models or really any middle 19thC stuff it should work well. Not to mention terrain that needs weathering. Also note, I accidentally melted the gun on this model. So he's got a wonky gun. Extra side note: that's a blade of grass on his hat I think!
