I've been looking at the 40K magazines in the news agents nearby for a long time. I always found the deal to be quite enticing and I recently decided to take the dive and grab some orcs to use for portfolio painting practice (and to display at conventions etc). The first model in this lot is a huge Orc Knob in power armor and I loved painting it. I used a mix of additive and subtractive paint techniques to settle somewhere in the middle and then finished it off with my signature dusty base (the legs really sell the look that he's been stomping around all day).
I also really liked the rust finish I was able to get and even though it's subtle I also loe the camo pants, I love the idea of an Orc being slightly fashion conscious.
