Recently I bought the Firefly Brigands and Browncoats board game for myself and I've painted the minis from the box. I adore having miniature representations of the characters from the show. The game comes with two versions of each model to represent casual and alert models (although so far the necesity for both is slightly lacking in the game mechanics). The game itself has just enough good systems and hard work that's gone into it, that I may continue to work on it at home and re-draft some of the rules and stuff. It has the air of "threw a bunch of money at the art and production but didn't pay the game designers". I'd be very intrigued to talk to someone from the creative team sometime. I've also created this little dog gang for use in the game as alternative goons. I reckon they could add some interesting aspects to the system, perhaps sniffing out the heroes as they sneak about at night.
